Sorrento's main beach clubs sit side by side on the bay of Spiaggia San Francesco at Marina Piccola: Leonelli's Beach, Marameo, Peter's Beach and Bagni Salvatore, with Bagni Sant'Anna at Marina Grande. You get down by the lift from the Villa Comunale or on foot from the port. None of them published a sunbed price we could read with a season attached when we checked on 2 November 2026, so we don't quote one. Marameo says it opens April to October and takes online bookings. The others take bookings by phone or email. The only official price figures in town are the town's caps on rentals at the free public beaches of Marina Grande and Marina di Puolo.
Read on each club's own website on 2 November 2026, when the season was over. Municipal facts come from Giunta resolution no. 70 of 15 April 2025. The 2025 caps were reported by the local press; we did not read the resolution that set them. We have no commercial agreement with any club, and the table is not a ranking.
Sorrento sits on a tuff cliff. What the town calls its beach clubs (stabilimenti balneari) are wooden decks and terraces built out over the rock and a few short strips of sand at the bottom. They have sunbeds, umbrellas, cabins and showers, and steps or ladders into deep water. Most have their own restaurant.
Almost all of them are on one bay: Spiaggia San Francesco at Marina Piccola, between the ferry port and the headland. Bagni Sant'Anna is the exception, down at Marina Grande. For the beaches themselves, sand, free strips and the beaches outside town, see our Sorrento beaches guide. This page covers only the paid clubs.
We looked for a price list with a season on every club's own website and booking page. None of them had one in early November 2026. Marameo's booking calendar had no dates open, and Bagni Salvatore's rates page returned an error. Peter's Beach lists a bookable item with a range of €15 to €150 but gives no season or explanation, so we don't treat it as a price.
Travel blogs and forums quote figures for these clubs, but they come from different years and don't agree, so we leave them out. The only official numbers in town are the caps on rentals at the public beaches of Marina Grande and Marina di Puolo, which don't apply to the private clubs. Ask the club for the full-day rate for your date, and check whether it covers one sunbed or a sunbed plus umbrella.
Leonelli's and Bagni Salvatore both direct guests to the lift from the Villa Comunale gardens, next to the church of San Francesco. You can also walk down from the gardens, or along the road from the port, where cars can drive. Bagni Sant'Anna is at Marina Grande, which you reach through the lanes from the town or by local bus. See getting around Sorrento for the buses.
We don't give a price or hours for the lift, because we found no current official tariff.
Every club in the table has its own bar or restaurant. Leonelli's lists seafood, pizza, gnocchi alla sorrentina and a family recipe for graffa (a fried doughnut). Peter's Beach has separate day and night menus. Bagni Sant'Anna's kitchen is run by the owners of Ristorante Tasso.

Two municipal beaches, the sand at Marina Grande and Marina di Puolo, are free to use under a 2025 town resolution. You can rent a sunbed or umbrella there at capped prices: in April 2025 the caps were reported as €10 a sunbed, €10 an umbrella and €8 a deckchair for non-residents, and half that for residents. The small municipal beach and solarium at San Francesco, in among the clubs, give priority to residents.
West of town, Bagni della Regina Giovanna is a natural rock pool with no services. For pebble beaches further out, see Marina del Cantone and Recommone.
On the bay of Spiaggia San Francesco at Marina Piccola: Leonelli's Beach, Marameo Beach Club, Peter's Beach and Bagni Salvatore. At Marina Grande: Bagni Sant'Anna. All five have their own websites.
None of the clubs published a price with a season attached when we checked in November 2026, so ask the club for your date. For comparison, rentals on Sorrento's free public beaches were capped in 2025 at €10 a sunbed and €10 an umbrella for non-residents.
In high season, contact the club first. Marameo takes online bookings on its own site. Leonelli's, Peter's Beach and Bagni Salvatore take bookings by phone or email.
Take the lift or the path down from the Villa Comunale gardens, or walk along the road from the port. The clubs' own websites give both routes.
Marameo says it opens from April to October. The other clubs don't publish dates, so check with them before going in spring or autumn.
Yes. The public beaches at Marina Grande and Marina di Puolo are free to use, and you can rent a sunbed there at capped prices. The small municipal beach at San Francesco gives priority to residents.
Checked on 2 November 2026, after the season had ended. We read each club's own website (Leonelli's Beach, Marameo and its booking page, Peter's Beach, Bagni Salvatore, Bagni Sant'Anna). Municipal facts come from the Comune di Sorrento: Giunta resolution no. 70 of 15 April 2025 on the town's beaches, and the town's 2022 notices. We took the 2025 rental caps from the local press (Sorrento Press, 19 April 2025) and did not read the resolution that set them. Spiagge.it was used only to confirm that the clubs don't offer bookings through it. We don't print prices quoted by blogs, forums or review sites. We have no commercial agreement with any beach club, and the order of the table is not a ranking.
